Customer Reviews

Living in Nashville, I was glad to finally eat at the original Pancake Pantry in Hillsboro... Village—and without a wait. With company in town, it felt like the perfect excuse to go. The service was exceptional, and the classic pancake house atmosphere didn’t disappoint. The pancakes? Very good. But what makes the experience great is the chance you might be eating next to a country music star—and they do show up. Our server told us Keith Urban was there just two days earlier. The takeaway: If you’re in Music City, don’t miss breakfast here.read more

Incredible! The pancakes are delicious, and the syrup soaks into them well, leaving very little... mess. My kids loved the silver dollar pancakes. We got there right around 7:00 on a Saturday and didn't have to wait. We will be back for sure!read more

I live out of town and first came here 3 times in one week during the month of March due to a... family member being a patient at Vandy Hospital. The next time was 3 times in one week during april..All 6 of these visits were amazing!!!!Always refer clients I have that are traveling to Nashville that this is a best spot to eat at.Then we come to today. Party of 5. Arrival was at 1249pm. The majority of the seating was empty. Including the 3 tables at the windows. So we ordered and received our drinks. The food runner came and was either not caring or rushed. OH wait the place was no where near capacity. Not for our table however at other I saw the runner bring food in which the plate above the food was touching. Totally unsanitary. We sat and ate and sat and sat. They sat the three table by the window. The same server we had took those table on. No issue. Not in the weeds by any means. The server had to pass our table everytime to get to the other tables. Not even a glance towards us.No checking on us. 1 napkin per plate. No checking on how the food was. No asking or offering drink refills ie water. No asking if we wanted something else.No checking on us at all. When she finally came to our table after we were done. She asked if there was anything we needed. I thanked her for finally checking on us. I said we needed extra napkins. She went to grab some I stopped her and said it was too late. She stated she was swamped. Maybe for her she was. Maybe she was new. Maybe she just ignored us. All or none of the above could be true. She didnt state she was new though.I love to tip heavy due to the fact I and my son have been in the service industry. My son working in fine dining for years.I didnt expect much. Definitely thought the experience would be near the same as the other visits. My party and I were very disappointed to say the least.I did speak to the Manager and felt a sense of indifference but maybe she was swamped. Will we need to consider a different breakfast place in the future? I dont want to but. We will see.She could have done better.read more

Our favorite place to stop on our way through! Great service! The potatoes are the best! The fried... potatoes are crunchy on the outside and taste perfect on the inside! I enjoyed a new menu item where I can pick 3 different pancakes and all different flavors. They have 16 types to choose from. So many choices. Excellent! I had blueberry, sweet potato, and cinnamon pancakes. I enjoyed all of them! My husband enjoyed the sausage and biscuits. I had a taste and it was good! Everything we have had here is excellent!read more

We visited this place for breakfast on two consecutive mornings, and both times the food was... absolutely amazing — flavorful, fresh, and truly satisfying. The taste exceeded our expectations, which explains why it’s such a popular spot.Tip: either arrive early or be prepared for a bit of a wait. On our first visit, we waited around 15 minutes in line. Learning from that, we went earlier the next day — around 7:00 or 7:30 AM — and got seated right away. By the time we finished and stepped out, there was already a line of at least 15 to 20 people waiting. Totally worth it, but timing makes all the difference!read more

I've driven by this place many times over the years, and there's always a line out the door so i... figured it was pretty good. The line moved fast and I realized when i got in that it was due to no waiting area inside. I ordered the pancake platter with eggs and turkey sausage. Hi there Pancake Pantry! I visited 14 years ago (yes 14!!) and was checking your menu now out of... curiosity and still there is not a one single vegan pancake item on the menu! How crazy is that! Vegan pancakes are incredibly delicious and easy. Just curious why, for sure this option will speak to so many: to your main clientele as an occasional change, to lots of health-conscious Vandy students and just everyone in general - why not?! Cheers! 💚🥞read more

Lots of people said they waited in line to eat, but we showed up a bit later than others, around... 12:30pm for brunch and had absolutely no wait. We shared some sweet and savory dishes. We tried the pancake sampler plate and got the banana bread, cinnamon roll, and chocolate chip pancakes all of them were really good but the banana bread one was the winner, absolutely delicious. We also got some eggs, hashbrowns and sausage as well and everything was really good. The hashbrowns we added some cheese and green peppers and they were fabulous. We had a wonderful brunch and will be back when we are back in Nashville.read more

Heard multiple rave reviews about this breakfast spot and did enjoy the food (a takeout order).... Unfortunately, I came in to pickup the order and was ignored by the staff. One waitress smiled when I entered but no one came to assist me. However, a family came in behind me and was immediately greeted and seated, while I, who was clearly standing ahead of them, was still ignored. It was incredibly strange and despite the good food l, makes me hesitant to return as a young Black woman.read more

I was excited to try this well known place. This location was in walking distance from the... Vanderbilt dentist office. I luckily did not have to wait in line. The atmosphere is team driven and family styled. They pulled chairs to accommodate large groups and even allowed me to choose where I sat. I was alone so I didn’t want to take up more space than I need. If you’re wanting to build a meal you have that option. I knew I wanted pancakes an omelette and bacon. I was pleased with the meal and brief waiting time. My server checked in as needed and even poured me a fresh cup of coffee to go! This location was great. And yes, the pancakes are DELICIOUS. Great job Hillsboro Village! I will be back again.read more

Drove from New York to Nashville TN to surprise our cousin, to hear him deliver his first sermon.... After church, he and his wife decided to take us out to breakfast. Stood in line for 20 minutes for cold eggs, cold beacon. My food was brought to me with another plate on top of it. Yes, I sent it back. Never do you put the bottom of a plate on top of someone's food. Rather you think the plate is clean or not. Also when I said I would like a fresh plate of food, the waitress who was helping serve our table gave me a dirty look. Being it was a Sunday and I just left church, I let it go. Our waitress who waited on us was very nice. Don't think I will visit this location again.read more
